In a seamless embrace of Japandi aesthetics, we meticulously curated a tranquil haven from a partially furnished condo unit in Ara Damansara. This transformed space exudes a serene charm, boasting a minimalist layout plan accentuated by a soothing neutral palette that effortlessly amplifies the comforting allure of natural wood textures.
Embarking on their journey as newlyweds, our clients envisioned a home as a sanctuary—a haven of tranquility to rejuvenate their minds after a taxing day at work. With a focus on seamlessly complementing existing kitchen cabinetry provided by the developer, their dream space also required a flexible layout to adapt to evolving needs of growing family in the future.
Innovating within the confines of a condo unit devoid of a transitional foyer area, we ingeniously crafted a welcoming entrance by introducing a dual-purpose back-to-back cabinetry. Serving as a discreet divider between the kitchen and the walkway to the guest bathroom, this design not only grants our clients a designated foyer area but also provides additional counter space and storage in the kitchen, seamlessly marrying form and function.
Our foyer design is multi-functional, doubling as storage for footwear and utility items, complete with a convenient charging station for a portable vacuum cleaner. The low bespoke console, featuring a louvered screen divider, offers an organized haven for daily necessities such as keys, access cards, toiletry supplies, all topped with a wall mirror for a final glance before stepping out. It's a sleek and efficient solution for a well-equipped and stylish entryway, tucked in a corner, out of the main focal view of the city skyline beyond the balcony.
In maximizing the existing basic kitchen setup, we introduced a seamless addition to the condo unit— a kitchen island and the back-to-back cabinet from the foyer area. Crafted in harmony with the established design concept and color scheme of the basic cabinetry, this island not only provides extra counter space but also bar seating area and discreet storage, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic cohesion for this project. To amplify the visual appeal of the existing kitchen setup, we strategically positioned a casual 6-person dining table with a linear minamalistic pendant light fixture hanging above it, adjacent to the island. Adhering to a harmonious color palette, this extension not only augments the island's length but also seamlessly integrates with the kitchen cabinet against the wall, creating a cohesive and inviting culinary space.
Elegance meets functionality in the louvered screen that gracefully separates the foyer and kitchen areas. Enhanced with 2-tier shelves, it becomes a stylish haven for easily accessible spice jars, glassware, and even our client's unique collection of tableware and oversized picture frames—a personalized touch that adds character and charm to the space. Integrating seamlessly with the original kitchen cabinet, our innovative addition—a low cabinet by the louvered screen—now hosts the client's water dispenser. To maintain a clutter-free countertop, we devised a system to discreetly conceal the water inlet and outlet tubes, electrical wiring, and excess water discharge piping, ensuring a streamlined and polished aesthetic in the kitchen.
Addressing the spatial challenge in our client's new condo unit, we ingeniously extended the living area wall by introducing a louvered screen with shelves. Beyond seamlessly elongating the space to accommodate the new bespoke floating TV console, this addition also provides a touch of privacy, serving as a subtle barrier for entry and exit from the adjacent study room. A clever solution that enhances both aesthetics and functionality in the living space.
The floating TV console at the living area isn't just a centerpiece; it's a subtle contributor to the warm ambiance, thanks to the warm hidden lighting underneath. Crafted for both aesthetics and functionality, it brilliantly conceals the wiring for the TV, WiFi modem, and router, ensuring a visually clutter-free look. To add a personal touch, we introduced a tall open-shelving unit for our client to style and personalize. The fluted panel backing aligns seamlessly with the louvered screen, enhancing the overall cohesion of the design.
